Engineering for Everyone

The Faculty of Engineering and Applied Science at Queen's University was struggling with their image as an "old boys club." They knew that women, BIPOC, and indigenous students didn't see themselves represented in the school's traditions, co-op program, mentors, and more.

They wanted to create a vibrant, diverse community, with values of inclusion at the core, an environment where everyone feels welcome, and graduates who represent the full spectrum of people.

We worked with the department to create Engineering for Everyone—an intentional, actionable EDII platform. It's centred on the idea that if engineers can accomplish seemingly impossible things like training AI to empathize with humans, they could collaborate to create meaningful change within their field.
